Students in the Global Studies class have some opportunity of the overseas field trips.
Field Tirp in Malaysia
Aim: To conduct research in environmental protection and global issues in Malaysia
Period: 3 days
Activities: ・Visiting Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) to study about sustainable forest management and reforestation techniques
・Taking part in nature experience programs
・Visiting palm oil plantations
Research Presentation in Singapore
Aim: To discuss the global issues wtih the students from other countries to improve presentation and communication skills
Period: 4 days
Activities: ・Participating in Yale-Nus Asia Pacific Model UN (YNC-AP MUN) Conference as a representative of Japan
・Discussing global and social issues in Enghlish.
・Poster presentation on our research
English Immersion Training in Australia
Aim: To conduct research in environmental protection and global issues in Australia
To improve students' communication skills
Period: 6 days
Activities: ・Studying about the nature and environment of Australia at the University of Queensland
・Taking part in nature experience programs
・Homestays with Australian families going to high school in Brisbane.
